Laura Seidman, founder of equilibrium, comes from a 20-year teaching background.  Her love of sharing ideas with her students and the great joy she feels when her students apply principles for themselves carry over to her Feng Shui practice.  Laura’s approach to consultations is to leave every client healthier, happier and able to carry on with their own Feng Shui adjustments long into the future. 

After ten years teaching biology and ecology to middle and high school students in the US, Laura moved to Asia, where she immersed herself in Japanese and Thai culture.  She began to recognize during that seven year period the vast scope of ways humans have learned to interact with the world.  In Japan, she perfected the art of small living, and in Thailand learned about choosing materials appropriate to the environment, all the while deepening her commitment to making the world a better place by reducing her personal footprint and inspiring others to do the same. 

Laura’s educational background includes a degree in Biology, a Master’s degree in Education, a diploma in Urban Design and a Classical Chinese Feng Shui Certification from the Golden Gate School of Feng Shui.  In addition, she holds certificates in web design, web programming, web publishing and screen media.  She is a lifelong student, committed to sharing her understanding with anyone willing to learn.
